Singapore, 27 February 2017 - Mediacorp, the official country representative of Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity is pleased to announce the launch of the Mediacorp Young Lions Competition 2017. This competition aims to inspire creative excellence and provide local young creative talents the opportunity to represent Singapore at an international stage. Over the years, Mediacorp’s ownership of the Young Lions Competition has helped local young talents gain invaluable insights and exposure.
This year, the national competition covers three categories – Print, Film and Cyber. Participants will be given a brief aimed at raising the awareness of a non-profit organisation and have 48 hours to develop a creative solution for it. The winning team from each category will earn themselves a fully-sponsored trip which includes airfare, accommodation and full-week Festival pass to represent Singapore to compete against top talents of over 50 countries at the prestigious Cannes Young Lions Competition in France this June.
The Jury Panel consists of 7 creative veterans and is chaired by Gary Steele, Executive Creative Director from TBWA\ Singapore. The full line-up of 2017 jury panel as follows:

The competition is open to young creatives age 30 years or younger on 24 June 1986 who are Singaporeans or Singapore permanent residents working in the advertising and communications businesses. Each 2-member team shall consists a creative director and copywriter, and can only compete in one competition category.
Interested participants can register their interest on www.mediacorp.sg/canneslions from 27 February 2017. Registration closes on 15 March 2017.
Eligible participants will receive the competition brief via email on 25 March 2017 at 11am, and are required to submit their works after 48 hours on 27 March 2017 at 11am.

This theme is reminiscent of a journey, where each step forward is a stepping stone to winning a Cannes Lions. To always go forth, is to always keep the creativity flowing. The Mediacorp Young Lions Competition is a platform for winners to take their ideas to the global stage.
The competition winners will be announced at the Results Night event on 19 April 2017.
The Cannes Young Lions Competition will take place during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity from 17 – 24 June 2017.
