Spanning 26 episodes, Junction Tree is Singapore’s first-ever bilingual edutainment TV series for the preschoolers. With debut broadcast on Okto Channel on 27 February, the programme is supported by Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism and Info-communications Media Development Authority of Singapore to promote bilingualism among children.
Set in a hyper-real park where the characters live in a magical tree house, lessons are shared by characters such as Kucinta, the cat-puppet and Moomba, the cub lion for children to learn ideals such as punctuality, respect and care for the environment.
Advertisers can look to sponsorship opportunities such as weave-in message and product placement within the programme, characters meet-and-greet and product sampling at retail malls, and customised story-telling and product sampling at school visits or library visits.
Each episode comprises three versions: English-Chinese, English-Malay and English Tamil, with a bilingual host for each language version. All three versions are telecast on Okto, with repeat telecast on Channel 5, 8, Suria and Vasantham.
